Playpen Sand
Playpen sand is washed silica sand that is clean, soft to the touch and free of clay, so it does not stain clothes or turn muddy. We supply it in 40 kg bags and bulk bags for homes, schools, creches, playgrounds and resorts.
Why washed silica play sand
- Washed to remove clay, silt and dust

Frequently asked questions
Is playpen sand the same as builder’s sand?
No. Builder’s sand contains clay and fines that stain and stay wet. Playpen sand is washed silica.
How often should a sandpit be topped up or replaced?
Top up as needed and replace the sand every one to two years, or sooner if it gets contaminated. Keep the pit covered when not in use.
