Glass Grade Silica Sand
Glass manufacturers need silica sand with very high SiO2, very low iron and a tight grain size range, delivered consistently batch after batch. We supply glass-grade silica sand for container glass, float and flat glass, glass fibre, sodium silicate and ceramics producers in South Africa and neighbouring countries.
Typical glass-grade specification
| Property | Typical value |
|---|---|
| SiO2 | above 99% |

Frequently asked questions
Why does iron content matter?
Iron gives glass a green tint. Clear flint glass needs the lowest-iron sand; coloured glass can tolerate more.
Can you supply on a monthly contract?
