| If you need | Choose |

Why not silica sand?
Dry blasting with silica sand releases respirable crystalline silica, which causes silicosis. Slag and garnet abrasives contain very little free silica, so they are the safer, standard choice for open blasting.

Frequently asked questions
What surface profile will I get?
Coarser grades such as Blastrite B60 and garnet 30/60 give a deeper profile for heavy coatings; finer grades give a shallower profile. Check the profile your coating specification calls for and we will recommend a grade.
