How much sand for a court?
A standard beach volleyball court with run-off is about 26 m × 18 m. At the commonly recommended 400 mm depth that is about 190 m³, or roughly 300 tons of sand.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use river sand?
River sand often contains silt and sharp grains that compact and cause abrasions. Washed, rounded silica is safer and drains better.
